TWO PROGRAMS AT A GLANCE

Two programs running on the same rails.

We know all-cash geothermal buyers want a discount. Finance buyers want to keep their cash and keep payments simple. Brightwell gives you a program for each, and both include five years of Comfortworks Performance maintenance, free to you.

Why The Discount

There's a better way to own it.

The example's are based on a total system cost of $40,000, includes five years of Comfortworks Performance maintenance, and ends the same way: with the system yours.

FOR THE CASH BUYER

$32,000

80% of a $40,000 system. Brightwell funds the other 20%.

  • Homeowner pays 80% of your quoted price on projects over $35,000; 15% off on projects under $35,000, ($20,000 minimum)
  • Five years of Comfortworks Performance maintenance included
  • No cap on the size of the system
  • You own it at year 5 for $380

YOUR CLOSE

"Pay $32,000 instead of $40,000, and your maintenance and filters are handled for five years."

FOR THE FINANCE BUYER

$409/mo

10-year term at 8.99% APR on the $40,000. 12 and 15-year terms available.

  • Nothing due at signing. Gateway lending partner finances the program price plus the year-5 ownership fee, $32,380 all-in
  • Up to $75,000 financed, no prepayment penalty. Requires credit qualification
  • Five years of Comfortworks Performance here too
  • The $380 year-5 buyout is already in the loan, so Brightwell collects it and transfers the system automatically

LENDING PARTNER

YOUR CLOSE

"Pay $32,000 instead of $40,000, and your maintenance and filters are handled for five years."

YOU KEEP  $8,000

Buying outright and paying for five years of Comfortworks Performance on your own runs about $41,150. The Discount covers all of it for $32,000, then ownership for $380.

UTILITY REBATES

Local rebates stay with you

If the local utility pays a rebate for geothermal installations, it passes straight through to you, on top of the program discount. Brightwell doesn't take any of it, in any way, shape, or form. It's one more benefit that makes the deal even better.

WHY GEOTHERMAL

The best system money can buy, under your yard.

The amount to own the system is a fair market value set by a Certified Valuation Analyst who is also a CPA at a public accounting firm.

It's written into your agreement, so the number is clear and fixed from day one.

ClimateMaster

The leading geothermal unit.

Your system is a ClimateMaster Tranquility, the industry's benchmark geothermal heat pump, drawing on the steady temperature of the earth itself.

~50%

Lower energy costs.

Heating and cooling for roughly half the energy cost of a conventional system.

~1/3

The maintenance cost.

Fewer moving parts and no outdoor unit exposed to the elements means far less to maintain.

Silent

No outdoor condenser.

No unit humming outside your window. The system runs quietly out of sight.

Cleaner

Smaller carbon footprint.

Swapping a conventional system for geothermal is like planting an acre of trees.

50 yrs

Built to last.

The underground loop lasts about 50 years and the indoor equipment about 20.

INCLUDED, ALL FIVE YEARS

Comfortworks Performance, on us

Top maintenance from Comfortworks, and every home gets it for five years. Two visits a year, and every visit includes:

What's in a Visit

Every visit is a full workup, including the geothermal-specific checks that generic HVAC plans skip:

  • Full system diagnostic
  • Electronic refrigerant leak check, up to 1 lb of refrigerant included
  • MERV 11 filter replacement and condensate drain service
  • Loop fluid analysis, loop pump inspection, and loop temperature check
  • Blower wheel, housing, electronics, and control board cleaning
  • Hot water heat exchanger and reversing valve check, where equipped
  • Air handler cleaning and ductwork inspection

WHAT HAPPENS AT YEAR 5

At the end of year 5, the system is yours.

The path is simple. Brightwell takes care of everything for five years, then you take ownership at a price that's settled the day you sign.

YEAR 1 TO 5

Brightwell carries the system.

Brightwell owns the equipment and Comfortworks keeps it running. Maintenance, filters, monitoring, and repairs are all handled and already covered.

Ad valorem taxes on the system are handled the same way. While Brightwell owns it, they're ours, not yours.

END OF YEAR 5

A clear exit.

You buy the system outright for an estimated one-time $380, set by an independent valuation.

YEAR 6 AND BEYOND

It's fully yours.

You own a long-lived asset. The underground loop lasts about 50 years and the indoor equipment about 20, and Comfortworks already knows your system.

Brightwell's motivation

Brightwell exists to create benefit for our communities through renewable energy projects, and we love residential geothermal. Homeowners can't access the tax credits associated with geothermal, but we can. When we buy your system and service it for five years, we win, and we share that benefit with you by funding 20% of your system and covering five years of Comfortworks Performance. A true win-win.

INDEPENDENTLY VALUED

A fixed price, settled before you sign.

The amount to own the system is a fair market value set by a Certified Valuation Analyst who is also a CPA at a public accounting firm.

It's written into your agreement, so the number is clear and fixed from day one.

$380

Year-5 ownership price

Good questions to ask

Who maintains the system for the first five years?

Comfortworks does, under its service plan, and Brightwell pays for it. Brightwell owns the system during that time, so maintenance and repairs are covered.

What's included in the $32,000?

Your complete Comfortworks geothermal system: The ClimateMaster geothermal equipment, ground loops, installation, five years of Comfortworks Performance, and 10-year parts & labor equipment warranty.

Do I own it at the end?

Yes. Ownership transfers to you for the fixed $380 set in your agreement at the end of year-5.

Why is it cheaper than buying outright?

Geothermal earns federal tax credits that homeowners can't claim on their own, but Brightwell can. Brightwell shares that benefit with you up to 20% and the included service.
